Since 2021, the Southern Africa Alumnae Chapter (SAAC) has implemented programs that directly address the priorities and lived realities of the African countries we serve. From advancing menstrual equity and addressing childhood malnutrition to combating gender-based violence, SAAC partners with local organizations and community leaders to strengthen health, dignity, and social well-being across the region.leasSAAC is also uniquely positioned in countries where several Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. nationally approved programs are based, including the Adelaide Tambo School in Soweto, South Africa; Training and Resources for Early Education (T.R.E.E.) in Durban, South Africa; Delta House/Vashti Village in Eswatini; and I Can Fly in Kenya. For more information about these programs, please contact the National Program Planning and Development Committee.

Our History & Expansion in Southern Africa
Since 1998, members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have sought to establish a chapter in Southern Africa, driven by a lifetime commitment to the mission and principles of our sisterhood on the African continent. By furthering the vision of our beloved Founders and Past Presidents, we recognized a unique opportunity to leverage our collective efforts to positively impact lives across the region.
A Dream Realized
On April 11, 2021, our dream became a reality. We are honored to officially bring the vision of our Founders back to the African continent through the chartering of the Southern Africa Alumnae Chapter (SAAC).
